I went to New York Comic Con for the first time. OH MY GOODNESS! There were so many people and so much to see and do at NYCC 2017. Absolutely overwhelming in the best way. I was especially impressed by the artwork at the Artist Alley and the creativity that went into some of the costumes for the convention. There was just so much more there than I had imagined!
I always thought it would just be full of Marvel and Star Wars fans, but it’s actually so diverse! Obviously, superman is the favorite for most men to dress as, so DC has some very good representation, but I saw plenty of other costumes too! Everywhere I looked there was a different fandom, from Doctor Who and Star Trek to Lord of the Rings and Harry Potter. Disney/Pixar was of course very well represented with princesses as far as the eye could see, and there were so many anime characters that I couldn’t count them all. It was good to see fans of Nintendo too, with lots of Pokemon running around, so overall it was a big explosion of all of my favorite things all crammed together!
