Origami Standing Heart (Message Holder)

In this video, I’ll be showing you how to fold an origami heart designed by Brians Tjipto Meidianto. You can stand the heart on any flat surface, and it even has a little flap at the front that can be used to hide a tiny note. 😉 I cut a strip from the sticky part of a Post-it® Note to write “Thanks!” It’s a nice little gesture for someone this Thanksgiving, or for any other occasion when you want to remind someone that you’re thinking of them (e.g., Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Birthdays, Anniversaries, etc.). You can also use it as a picture holder (place a lightweight photo behind the flap), or attach another origami model to the flap.

Brians is just 10 years old, and is already designing his own models, along with diagrams! I admire his ambition, which is why I enjoy sharing his work. He hopes to be a master at origami one day, which I think is pretty cool. Thank you, Brians, for granting me permission to create this video. Find Brians on Facebook and say “hi!” Facebook.com/brianstjipto.meidianto

P.S. I have a Tangled Band-Aid on my finger because I scraped myself. It’s not for display purposes!! haha. This video is not sponsored. 😉
